Talking your way into panic

The way you talk to yourself has a huge effect on your anxiety and can greatly increase your chance of having a panic attack. One of the best things you can do to help control your anxiety is to focus on the way you speak to yourself.
Become Aware of what you say to yourself, it is the key to turning your life around and pointing it in a positive direction. Believe it or not, talking to yourself is a positive way can help you hop on the road to recovery.
Your mind is a very powerful, not only can you talk yourself into feeling anxious you can also learn to talk yourself our of panicky feelings. Refocus your scary thoughts into positive self-talk. It will take some practice, but if you can master this skill you can start to overcome obsessive panicky thinking.

- Buy a massage chair
- Light some nicely scented candles
- Play some relaxing soft music and just lay down for a while. Check out this sample of relaxing sounds
- Go for a Walk
- Relax in an outdoor hammock.
- Rent a funny movie, laughter can be an excellent way to calm your fears
- Breath - Practice deep breathing exercises
- Go to the park and just swing. It is very relaxing pretending to be a kid again!
- Brew a cup of Chamomile Tea
- Take a long bath with a nice fragrant bubble bath or relaxing bath salts.
- Take an entire night to just Veg Out! Give yourself permission to be couch potato for one night.
- Read a good self help book.
- Take some time to stop and smell the flowers. If you don’t have flowers pick up a boutique for yourself.
- Take up a new hobby like Painting
- Use Positive talk to calm your nerves
- Exercise! Go for a walk at the park, run, ride your bike, or even join a health club.
- Go on vacation. Even if it’s just a weekend getaway, take some time to just get away from it all.
- Make a conscious effort to have relaxing peaceful thought.
- Start doing Yoga
- Try a Guided meditation CD
- Go to Church
- Do something nice for someone.
- Do something nice for yourself.
- Drink some Passion Flower Tea
- Get a massage
- Cut down on the amount of sugar you eat
- Go to the spa.
- Play a board game. Playing games can help shift your focus away from what is bothering you.
- Try Tai chi
- Light some incense
- Buy or build your own relaxing water fountain
